Investigating Multi-hazard Early warning and ReSilience (IMERS) is a research project headed by the African Centre for Disaster Studies at North-West University in Southern Africa. The need for appropriate and effective early warning systems against multiple natural and anthropogenic hazards has never been so high. IMERS delves into the complex world of early warning systems, its value chain and in particular, messaging for early action.
